27 February – 3 March 2017
Feeling fresh after the half term break, the team at WRMH HQ were ready to get stuck into work, with lots of training sessions being delivered!
Monday was a busy day for courses, with Kelsey out and about in Walsden visiting a primary school to deliver CPA (Concrete Pictorial Abstract) and WRMH sessions. Beth, Jennifer and Jill were all delivering specialist NCETM (National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Maths and English) primary school Mastery training.
On Tuesday, Beth was delivering a primary school session in Burley in Wharfedale. Also out on courses duty was Paul, who ran a CPD (Questioning Strategies) session at a local school. Stephanie was busy delivering Mastery Courses throughout Monday and Tuesday. Speaking of which, Helen Drury (Director of Mathematics Mastery) has just sent us this lovely photo of the WRMH team with Helen. The photo was taken at a recent conference, where the team were all busy running workshops.
Today, Caroline was working hard on Spring assessments. Jennifer was busy leading one of our ‘Bar Modelling’ twilight sessions in Salford. Also, exciting news – today the WRMH team re-launched our popular Twitter competition – ‘problems of the day’. Don’t forget to send in your solutions to enter our weekly prize draw for £50 worth of TTS supplies!
On Thursday, Beth was busy delivering a training twilight session in Dewsbury. Caroline and Stephanie spent the morning at a local school in Halifax for a training programme.
In other good news this week, meet our new Primary Maths Specialist Stephen, who has just returned from working in Australia – we hope he’s brought some of that famous aussie sunshine with him!
