Do you have any non-specialists teaching maths next year? Take a look at our FULLY funded four day training programme

Secondary schools are increasingly using non maths teachers to teach and cover maths lessons. Research suggests that subject knowledge is the best form of training to improve outcomes at KS3 and GCSE.  We are pleased to offer non maths specialists the chance to access a package of fully funded, high-quality training.

Our four day programme offers secondary schools a way to train non specialists so they can teach maths lessons, or provides support for staff who are not maths teachers but teach the subject.

This four day programme includes the following sessions and content – simply click on the relevant link to read more. Please note delegates must attend all four sessions, and these are fully funded for eligible delegates. Please note that although the costs of the course is fully covered, any associated cover or travel expenses are not.

Bar Modelling, 21 June, Halifax
Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change, 28 June, Halifax
Calculating with Fractions, 4 July, Halifax
Introducing Algebra, 7 July, Halifax
